GERALD KEOWN WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY
Photographic Art for the American Sportsman

Wildlife Photographer - Gerald Keown

Over the years his images have graced the pages and covers of a number of national magazines including Outdoor Life, Field & Stream, Bowhunter, Southern Outdoors, North American Whitetail, Texas Sportsman, Bow & Arrow Hunting, and Deer & Deer Hunting. His individually signed and numbered limited edition prints and individually signed open edition prints are displayed in Texas homes and offices.
Gerald Keown was born and raised in the brush country of South Texas. After retiring from a successful career as a law enforcement administrator in Texas, he and his wife Susan spent the next six years in northwestern Wyoming before returning home to Texas where they currently make their home in Seguin just east of San Antonio.
While Law enforcement was his career, his avocation has always been wildlife photography and the herpetology of the American Southwest. His knowledge and love for the outdoors and of its wildlife is truly reflected in his photography. Be it a Whitetail Deer in the brush of this own native South Texas, an Elk in the mountains of Wyoming, a Brown Bear fishing for Salmon along an Alaskan stream, or a Desert Kingsnake feeding on a Western Diamond-back Rattlesnake in the Trans-Pecos Region of Texas, he captures through his camera lens, what we fail to see through hurried eyes.
